SASSA Will Take Expert Services to Fernie Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.

SASSA might be rendering services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency said it is actually alarmed about the superior amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a superior number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and more info there is no thoroughly functional office dedicated to service the area daily. The services position created for intervention encounters a substantial inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it challenging to the office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to permit the servicing of all shoppers and raise use of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.

For more information, community members can call toll free during working days/hours sassa on 0800 60 10 11 and WhatsApp on 082 046 8553. - SAnews.gov.za
